Wooden’s Apple House – Bledsoe County

Wooden’s Apple House is a family owned business that has been in operation for over 50 years. The orchards have grown to almost 100 acres since Oren Wooden’s father planted his first tree, and now the farm produces over 18 varieties of apples, pumpkins, and other assorted vegetables.

In the store, you can purchase your favorite flavor of apples by the bunch, or bushel, and pick up the perfect pumpkin for decoration, or for baking. Pick up a gallon or two of fresh apple cider, or get your fill of various jellies, jams, and preserves. Upstairs, you will find many other wonderful wares from arts and crafts items to handmade porch swings, and cookbooks for almost every occasion. Explore the store, you’re sure to find something you just can’t do without!

If you get hungry, step into the Pie Shop for a tasty treat. Fried apple pies, apple dumplings, fritters, cakes, donuts, and more, are prepared fresh daily for your dining pleasure. Add a dollop of ice cream, and wash it all down with a nice cup of cider, coffee, or Coca-Cola products. You won’t go away unsatisfied!

Open Season

The Apple House is open from August through October from 8:00a.m to 7:00p.m. EST Monday through Saturday, and from 1:00-5:00p.m. EST on Sundays. From November till the end of the season the hours are Monday-Saturday 8:00a.m.-6:00p.m EST, and 1:00-5:00p.m. EST on Sunday.
